  4. Bays Mountain Park: It’s a perfect getaway for safari lovers. Bay Mountain Park is located on the bays of Mountain in Kingsport, over 3650 acres. Its barge ride lasts for almost 45 minutes, and you can experience the connection with nature. Its main attractions are a picturesque 44-acre lake, a nature center with a state-of-the-art planetarium theater, and animal habitats.
  5. Norris Lake: Norris Lake is a perfect getaway to beat the heat in the summer. Its clear water even provides the opportunity to snorkel and scuba dive. It is also famous for water sports, fishing, and hiking activities.
  6. Rock City Gardens: Located on Lookout Mountain, Rock City is the 4100-foot walking trail near the Georgia and Tennessee border. On this enchanted trail, you will witness waterfalls, caves, art exhibits, and botanical gardens. Walking around the trail takes almost one and a half to two hours. However, you can relax and enjoy the serenity of the place.
  7. Tuckaleechee Caverns: Tuckaleechee Caves, also known as the “Greatest Site Under the Smokies,” are almost twenty to thirty million years old. At its one end, there is a big room that is as huge as a football stadium. At the other end, you can witness Silver Falls, and it falls 210 feet from the top and is considered the tallest subterranean waterfall.
  8. Burgess Falls State Park: Burgess Waterfalls is a landmark of beauty, serenity, and four waterfalls. That cascade goes from 2500 feet in elevation. 2.7 miles of trail hiking will lead to the mesmerizing masterpiece. It will take almost 2 hours to get there. It is recommended to start your return from the waterfall at least an hour before sunset. The good news for all those who cannot hike is that the falls can be accessible by driving and by water boat or jet skis.
  9. Cumberland State Park: Cumberland State Park is great for all recreational activities and is said to be the largest timbered plateau in America. Hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, golfing, and camping are major seasonal offerings.
  10. Foster Falls Recreation Area: Operated by the Tennessee State Parks and located near Tracy City, Foster Falls offers various recreational activities to its visitors. It is famous for hiking and walking. The deep pool at the base of the fall is another major attraction for the swimmers.
